The MB Models King of Clubs is a BRCA affiliated race series run by five of the UK’s leading model car clubs (Adur, Aldershot, Colchester, Eastbourne and West London) working together with the BRCA and the RC industry. We run an inter-club championship alongside a drivers championship. Investing and sharing the results, Together.
We also run the Tamiya Junior-E series, for children with little or no race experience.
The five clubs that make up KOC are BRCA affiliated clubs, and the King of Clubs is a BRCA affiliated series. We utilise the BRCA General and Touring Car Section rules and guidelines, adapted where necessary to suit our events. Where a class is not recognised by the BRCA, we have developed our own rule sets.
The club championship is open to teams from Adur Model Car Club, Aldershot Model Car Club, Colchester Model Car Club, Eastbourne Electric Car Club and West London Racing Centre.
Each club selects a team consisting of six competitors to score points for the club during each round. Points are scored for your finishing position in your final irrespective of which final that is. So, a racer finishing 3rd in the D-final scores a better result for the team than a driver finishing second in the A.
Tactics and working together as a club is the key to winning - any driver can make the difference not just the most experienced and fastest driver.
