BRCA British Grand Prix and LMP12 Nationals 2021/2022

1/12th Circuit

Announcing the return of 12th Section Nationals.

We are pleased to announce that the BRCA LMP12 and GT12 Nationals are back!

For the 2021/2022 season we will be hosting a Grand Prix meeting and then a six-round National Championship for LMP12 and GT12.

British GP - Eastbourne - 20/21 November 2021

National rounds 1&2 - Eastbourne - 22/23 January 2022

National rounds 3&4 - Tamworth - 19/20 February 2022

Nationals rounds 5&6 - Chesterfield - 19/20 March 2022

All events will cater for LMP12 Stock 13.5, LMP12 Modified (6.5T limit) and GT12 and will decide the National Champions from the 2022 events, best four of six to count.  More details will follow, including information about motors and batteries, classes you can enter at the same meeting, etc. in the coming days.  Entries will be via the BRCA website.

As a section we have decided on this format based on not knowing now what will be happening over the winter in relation to the pandemic. We feel that by the time we get to later in the year, we will have a good picture about what can or cannot go ahead. This will minimise the risk of any of the events being cancelled or postponed and the subsequent uncertainty and costs incurred by racers for hotel bookings etc.

The Grand Prix is a standalone event to celebrate our return to racing as the BRCA 12th Section and will enable us to run an event outside the championship to make the national series as enjoyable as possible for everyone.

These six, one-day events will give everyone a chance to keep costs down by giving the option to come racing for one day only, or to come for two days and enjoy the evening activities.  We are bringing all our classes together as this helps both LMP12 and GT12 classes hold successful events with maximum benefit for the hosting clubs.  Other classes may be offered for the GP.

We look forward to announcing further details of the national series in due course.
