The 2019 Clubman championship details are below.

The championship will be contested over 7 outdoor rounds on tarmac, attending some of the best outdoor tracks in the UK.

General Rules

Maximum lipo voltage of 8.40v. Lipos must be charged and discharged in closed lipo sacks. Charging must be balanced, and at no more than the maximum charge rate advised by the manufacturer.
Motors, lipos, ‘blinky’ ESCs and touring car bodies must all be on the relevant BRCA approved lists.

Meeting Format

Optional practice on Saturday.
One round of timed practice Sunday morning.
4 rounds of Round-By-Round qualifying. Your best 2 round positions are added together to give your overall qualifying position.
2 rounds of finals, with trophies for the top 3 overall in each final.

Championship Points

Each final counts as a separate championship score, with the A-final winner receiving 150 points, second 149 etc.

This gives 14 scores in total, with 8 to count (i.e. you must do at least 4 meetings to qualify for championship trophies).

Entry Details

£16 entry fee. Additional £5 for Saturday practice (paid in cash to the club).

Half price entry for all juniors! (16 or under on the meeting date). Please use the Under-13 or Under-17 button when entering to receive your discount. Juniors must book each event separately to receive a discount for each one.

Booking closes at 12 noon the Sunday before the event. At this time the number of finals will be fixed, and booking will reopen to fill any remaining spaces (e.g. 56 cars gives 6 finals, and there will be 4 spaces remaining).

Reserve Lists

We don't use reserve lists.

Start checking the Facebook group and this page a couple of weeks before the event; this is when people start cancelling and spaces become available. We've had 10+ people cancel before, so there's usually a good chance of getting in.

We are pleased to announce the BRCA GT12 Scottish Regionals 2019


This is the sixth edition of this popular series and we are continuing with the successful format from last year. A relaxed series of one-day events, hosted by Grampian Radio Car Club, Dundee and Angus Radio Control Car Klub and Lothian Radio Control Car Club.

If you enjoy racing at your local club and fancy trying some other tracks, this series is for you !

The series caters for the die-hard enthusiast, local racer, junior and beginner. As well as the GT12 cars, support classes of 1/10th Touring Cars and F1 will be running (Min entry of 3 cars for F1 Support class).

Meeting Format

All meetings are a full days racing, 4 heats of FTD qualifying, and 3 finals for all with 2 finals counting to your final position. Races are 6 minutes long for GT12 and 5 mins for touring car.

Trophy small

There will be a series trophy for the winner of the GT12 championship and top junior in the GT12 championship. The trophy will be held for one year and the champions name will be engraved on the trophy. There will also be small fun prizes at each event for the finals winners. 



Rules will follow the BRCA GT12 rule set, as well as the Motor and battery homologation lists.

The series will be running the Contact Green Striped Control Tyre.

Touring Car

Any 1/10th scale, 4wd, 190mm wide touring car complying with the BRCA 1/10 Electric section construction rules.
BRCA approved 13.5 Brushless Motor
A BRCA approved Blinky ESC must be used. No Boost or turbo allowed.
Cars will be limited to a FDR no less than of 7.
BRCA approved 2s batteries with a nominal voltage of 7.6v. 2S voltage should not exceed 8.4v at any time.
Cars must weigh no less than 1320g including timing equipment.
Rubber tyres. Tyre choice is open.
Only water based additive from the 1/12th circuit approved additive list is allowed.
No tyre warmers allowed.
