Discover the Right Class of RC Racing for You
The BRCA represents over 50 classes of model motorsport, covering everything from indoor and outdoor racing to Oval, Circuit, Drifting, and Off-Road. Vehicles range in size from those that fit in the palm of your hand to large-scale machines weighing nearly 20kg. Whatever your interest or budget, there’s a class to suit you.
Getting Started
Our top recommendation is to visit your local club. See what classes are being raced, chat with the members, and get a feel for the atmosphere.
-
If your preferred class isn’t available nearby, it may be worth travelling a little further to find the racing you want.
-
Don’t be afraid to ask questions and seek advice—most racers are more than happy to share their experiences.
-
Remember: what works for one racer might not work for the next. Take your time to discover what suits you best.
Once you’ve visited a few clubs, set yourself a realistic budget for a starter package. Both new and second-hand equipment can be a great way to begin.
