During the boxing day flood the Halifax track suffered the worse flooding it had ever seen, over 2 metres deep! We have had this short report in from the club Most people will have heard that Yorkshire was hit by the floods on Boxing Day. The Halifax track was 2 meters (6 foot) under water. When the levels dropped the hard work began to get the track and cafe ready for this season. Fortunately the tarmac was not damaged as the water came up through the infield leaving the track and pits covered in around 20mm of mud. Our club members and helpers have worked hard and the track and cafe are nearly ready again. We have a Club Race Day planned for Sunday 14 February and the first round of our Summer Club Championships planned for Sunday 13 March. All on-road classes and drivers are welcome, see our website for more information www.halifaxtrack.co.uk 2016 RC-News Halifax floods John Russel Previous Article HNMC Winter 8 Reeves Double Plus Powles wins on dirt Next Article Milton Keynes club gets huge response from Reedy Race!
