1/8 Circuit is a class that everyone needs to try and many keep coming back too as cars reach speeds in excess of 75 mph offering a real adrenaline rush to RC racing. Costs are comparable to other popular national series classes and you can spend as little or as much as your budget allows.
After changing over to the Shepherd Factory team for 2018 from long time sponsors Serpent Tim took six wins from nine rounds in dominate fashion. Tim’s car is relatively standard with additions such low friction belts, titanium screws, brass battery mount to add weight low down and bearings from Racing Edge. Tim also uses products from Brilliant RC such as belt silicone and their INS box.
His car is powered by Picco engines which are very popular engines and well known throughout RC racing. Their latest engine is called the Monza and available through Zen racing in the UK. To complement this Tim uses Ulti tyres, Elite fuel, Xtreme bodyshells and Savox servos all of which are available trackside or from UK retailers.
