The British Radio Car Association (BRCA) would like to make all members aware of an ongoing technical issue affecting email delivery to Microsoft-based email addresses, including Hotmail, Live, and Outlook accounts.

What’s Happening

Due to external mail filtering by Microsoft’s servers, emails sent from the BRCA website and systems are currently being blocked or rejected. This means that members using one of these email services may not receive important messages, such as:

  • Event booking confirmations

  • Password reset links

  • Membership renewal notices

  • AGM registration confirmations

  • General system notifications from brca.org

Unfortunately, this is a long-standing issue that remains unresolved despite continued efforts and communication with Microsoft.

What You Should Do

To ensure you receive all important updates and confirmations, we strongly recommend that members:

  1. Use a non-Microsoft email address for your BRCA account – such as Gmail or any other provider.

  2. Log in to your BRCA account and update your email address under My ProfileAccount Settings.

  3. Double-check your spam or junk folder for any missing messages while you make the change.

Why This Matters

Without receiving BRCA system emails, you may miss essential event details, booking confirmations, and password reset emails, which can prevent you from registering for races or accessing your membership information.

Ongoing Situation

We want to assure members that the BRCA has taken every possible step to resolve this issue with Microsoft, but no resolution is expected in the near future. Until then, switching to a different email provider is the only reliable way to stay fully connected.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we continue to push for a permanent fix.
