Welcome to the 1/12 Electric Circuit Section of the BRCA.
1/12 scale is one of the oldest RC racing classes still in existence and can trace it's roots way back to the 1970's. Traditionally it was a training and development ground for drivers who later went on to become champions in this and other classes. More recently the class has become more specialised, due in no small part to the development of a wide range of other RC categories over the years.
That said, 1/12 is still a class that caters for competitors of all ages and abilities. The recent introduction of the GT12 class has resulted in an explosion in popularity of 1/12 scale racing at club level, and our national championships continue to be well attended.
Whether you're just a casual club racer or a pro driver, the 1/12 section has something to offer you and we invite you to come and share experiences with us.

After 12 rounds of edge of the seat racing we can finally announce that our national champion of the 2025/2026 1/12th National season is eXcellerates Ollie Payne.
Ollie Payne makes it back to back national titles after a dominant weekend at CARS where he took the TQ and win both days . Awesomatix's Mark Stiles finishes 2nd overall in the championship while his Awesomatix Micheal Bolt finished 3rd overall in the championship.
Three chassis brands would battle it out in the A main on both day : eXcellerate , Schumacher and Awesomatix . 4 Awesomatix cars , 2 eXcellerate and 6 schumacher cars would battle it out for the top spot. Ollie would take the win from the pole . Mark Stiles and Louis Parker would hold onto there positions to join Ollie on the podium .
Sunday would be a similar story . Adam Catchpole would join the A-main. Making his first A-main since his return to racing this national season. Ollie would take the win from the pole. Mark and Louis would finish second and third again.
It was a brilliant way to end an era. An era fulfilled with memories and RC Icons. We wasn't just racing for our self we was racing for Kev. Kev and his racing club
A weekend of class from Ollie Payne as he takes his 5th and 6th wins of this season as he overtakes Mark Stiles in the Championship to put himself in pole position for the national championship.
Saturday was challenging for a lot. With the track adjustment being made after practice many struggled at first to come to terms with the shorter main straight. With many in the top heat of qualifying having huge accidents at the end of the main straight. After the early rounds of qualifying it looked to be a wide open window for Top Qualifier. With the advantage being in the hands of Schumacher's Finely Whitelock. With struggles early on. Ollie Payne showed off his talent as he snatched the TQ out of Finely's hands.
Come the final Ollie would drive a dominant and stress free main as he took his 5th win of the season. Schumacher drivers Finley Whitelock and Samuel Coult would join him on the podium. 4 Schumacher cars , 4 Awesomatix cars and 2 eXcellerate cars would cover the A- main.
Sunday seemed much more straight forward for most. Especially for Ollie Payne who took all four rounds of qualifying . eXcellerate teammate Morgan WIlliams joined him on the front row of the grid. 5 schumacher cars and 3 Awesomatix cars would make up the A-main. In the main Ollie would take his 6th win of the season over Schumachers Louis parker and Morgan Williams taking 3rd place.
On another note our next and final 2 rounds of the championship will be at the famous CARS club. However this year it will feels a little different. Unfortunately the section lost a true icon of our sport. Kevin Creasers death for many has made us realise how important he was for us he dedicated his life to RC and watched the sport progress into what it is today. As a section our thoughts go out to his family and friends who knew him best. May you rest in peace Kevin.
