Semi B
Dom Nunn (Mugen) started on pole for this semi-final but made a few early mistakes,
dropping down the field. This opened the door for a tight battle at the front involving
William Skidmore (Xray), Neil Cragg (AE), Lewis Jones (WIRC), and Erik Lykke
(Agama).
Despite the pressure, it was Will Skidmore who came through to take the win, with Neil
Cragg finishing second and Lewis Jones securing third. Erik Lykke followed in fourth,
ahead of Tommy Hall (AE) in fifth and Billy Grindley (WIRC) in sixth. Dom Nunn
recovered to claim the final qualifying spot in seventh.
Semi A
Elliott Boots (Sworks) started out in pole, with his championship rival Jonny Skidmore
(Xray) right behind. The pair were involved in a close battle early on, but as the race
progressed, Boots began to pull away while Skidmore made a few errors.
Elliott Boots went on to take the win in Semi-Final A and set the fastest overall time
compared to Semi-Final B. Jonny Skidmore held on for second place, with Lee Martin
(Xray) finishing third. Graham Alsop (HB) came home in fourth, followed by Jack Willetts
(WIRC) in fifth and James Le Pavoux (Sworks) in sixth. The final spot in the A Final was
claimed by Mike Lewis (Mayako), who finished in seventh.
Main Final
As the A Final got underway, Elliott Boots (Sworkz) immediately began pulling away
from the field, with chaos unfolding behind him. Lewis Jones (WIRC) and many others
were locked in battles through the early stages, while Jonny Skidmore (Xray) was
forced to retire from the race after a heavy front-end collision with another car.
With championship contender Skidmore out, Lee Martin (Xray) moved up into second
place, followed by Lewis Jones (WIRC) in third. Billy Grindley (WIRC) was also in the
mix, challenging near the front. Approaching the first round of fuel stops, Elliott Boots
encountered a setback as he was forced to pit for a tyre change due to an unglued tyre.
This allowed Lee Martin to take over the race lead, while Boots dropped to fourth or
fifth.
Lee Martin led comfortably for a spell, but suffered a flame-out as he entered the pit
lane, which handed the advantage back to Elliott Boots, who had recovered to second
by that point in the race. Boots retook the lead and managed to control the race from
the front once again.
There was disappointment for Lewis Jones, who had been battling for a podium position
before suffering an issue that dropped him out of contention.
In the end, Elliott Boots took the win, with Lee Martin finishing second and Erik Lykke
(Agama) securing the final podium spot in third.
