12th Circuit

Our drivers rolled in to the venue Saturday morning , greeted with a track that was described as " beautifully symmetrical" . The track invited super close qualifying sessions and neck and neck mains.  Our reigning national champion Ollie Payne arrived with a hint of purple on his car , after he announced he would be driving for eXcelerate ,  after his departure from CRC MetriCKs a few weeks prior to the event. With the absence of Louis Parker , changes to the championship where imminent.

From the very get go Ollie was quite obviously the one to beat as he took all four rounds of qualifying to take overall TQ. The battle for second on the other hand was super tight , with positions  2-5 being separated by under 2 seconds. Ollie would line up on pole but would have a mirror full of Awesomatix cars , with Micheal Bolt and current championship leader Mark Stiles in 3rd. Morgan Williams would line up 4th with his eXcelerate with Chase Mackman sat behind him in P5. Aaron Morley would line up a strong P6 with Matthieu Dambrine in P7 . Adam Mackman , Andy Murray and Alex Robertson would round out the rest of the grid. The final saw Micheal Bolt fall just short of the win as Ollie drove a lights to flag race to win his first meeting of the season. Mark Stiles finished in a strong P3 with his Awesomatix teammate Chase Mackman in 4th. Andy Murray was pushed across the line by Adam Mackman they would finish in P5 and P6. Aaron Morley would finish in P7 , with Matthieu Dambrine, Morgan Williams and Alex Robertson in 8th, 9th and 10th.

In the LMGT3 class it was Richard Norris who would take the TQ and win. With Stuart Evans and John Fitzpatrick joining him on the podium.

Now onto Sunday , Ollie continued where he left off with another dominant display in qualifying to take overall TQ. It was an identical top 6 to the previous day with Micheal Bolt in P2 , Mark Stiles in P3 , Morgan Williams in P4 , Chase Mackman in P5 and Aaron Morley in P6 . James Hart with an impressive RND 4 would line up in 7th. Alex Robertson would improve on his RND 3 , he would line up in 8th. Matthieu Dambrine would line up 9th and Adam Mackman would round out the grid.

Only two positions would change in the final , Aaron Morley would pip Chase Mackman to P5 and Adam Mackman would pip Matthieu Dambrine. The battle for 2nd would be close with Micheal , Mark and Morgan all within striking distance. Ollie would make it two out of two at stafford , in what had been a pretty awesome first outing with the eXcelerate. James Hart would remain in P7 and Alex Robertson would keep his P8
