A fantastic day of racing sets the scene for the LMP12 Nationals

The Tamworth GP took place on 10-11 October 2026, bringing together a competitive field of 1/12th-scale racers for what proved to be an ideal unofficial warm-up ahead of the 2026/27 BRCA LMP12 National Series.

With the opening National round at Stafford just around the corner, the event gave drivers a valuable opportunity to test their cars, fine-tune their setups and measure themselves against some of the competition they will face over the coming months.

LMP A Final – Sam Coult leads the way

The headline LMP action saw Sam Coult take overall victory, delivering a consistent performance for Schumacher. Coult secured TQ and won all three A-final legs.

Mark Stiles took second overall for Awesomatix, showing strong pace throughout the finals, while Matthieu Dambrine completed the overall podium after a competitive series of races.

The top three were:

1. Sam Coult – Schumacher
2. Mark Stiles – Awesomatix
3. Matthieu Dambrine – Schumacher

Coult's dominance was underlined in the final leg, where he completed 45 laps in 491.06 seconds, recording a best lap of 10.56 seconds. Dambrine finished second in that leg, with James Hart third.

Andrea Torregiani, James Hart, Freddie Parker, Mark Jewitt and Andrew Smith also featured in a competitive A Final, with the field demonstrating the depth of talent heading into the National season.

The action wasn't limited to the top LMP final, with close racing and plenty of battles across the other classes and finals.

With the first BRCA LMP12 National round at Stafford fast approaching, drivers are encouraged to get their entries in and be part of the opening event of the season. Whether you are a regular National competitor or looking to experience the series for the first time, Stafford promises to be a fantastic weekend of racing.
