The final meeting of the season brought together the Formula classes from F2 through to F5 for a fantastic finale of racing. With championship honours on the line and drivers battling through the various finals, there was plenty of action throughout the field, from the experienced senior competitors to some of the youngest drivers making their mark.

The meeting once again highlighted the depth of talent within the championship, with close racing, impressive performances and some fantastic results across all four Formula categories.

🏆 F2 – Championship Final

The F2 championship produced a very closely fought A Final, with Roger Tugwood taking the overall meeting victory after three legs.

Roger's consistency was the key to his success, recovering from a ninth-place opening leg to win the second and third legs and finish with a winning score of 2 points. His final-leg victory, completing 12 laps in 5:04.72, secured the overall F2 meeting win.

Freddie Thompson finished second overall after a superbly consistent performance, including a win in the opening leg and third place in the second. Freddie finished the meeting with a score of 4 points, while William Fisher also finished on four points to take third overall on the tie-break.

The B Final was won by Ruben Russell, who completed 11 laps in 5:24.11. Michael Hobday finished second, with Keith Halsey third. Ruben's victory was particularly impressive given that he was competing in the Under 16 category.

The C Final went to Alfie Castle, who produced a strong 12-lap run in 5:17.44. Martin Owen finished just 0.31 seconds behind in second, with the pair separated by the smallest of margins at the flag.

🏆 F3, F4 & F5 – Championship Final

The combined F3, F4 and F5 A Final produced an excellent three-leg battle, with drivers from all three Formula categories competing together for the overall final result.

The overall meeting victory went to Riley Butler, who produced a superb set of results — 3rd, 1st and 8th — to finish with a winning score of 4 points. Riley's opening-leg podium and second-leg victory put him in an excellent position going into the final leg, and he did enough to secure the overall win.

Dewi Jones finished second overall with four points after results of 7th, 3rd and 1st. His victory in the final leg was a fantastic way to close out the meeting.

Kevin Hunt completed the overall podium, also finishing on four points after a remarkably consistent 2nd, 2nd and 3rd across the three legs.

The battle between the three Formula classes made for an excellent finale, with the final results showing just how closely matched the leading drivers were.

There was plenty of action throughout the supporting finals, with every driver getting their opportunity to fight for a final victory.

B Final – F3/F4/F5

Dominique Tranquille took the B Final victory after completing nine laps in 5:05.86. Andy Williams finished second, with Sam Leslie third.

C Final – F3/F4/F5

Max Williams took a convincing C Final victory, completing 12 laps in 5:23.30. Stephen Wilkinson finished second, with Mark Christopher third.

D Final – F3/F4/F5

Lee Speight took the D Final after a strong 11-lap run in 5:01.29. Andy Mountford finished second, with Mike Temple third.

E Final – F3/F4/F5

One of the standout performances of the lower finals came from Finn Mulcahy, who took the E Final victory. Finn's 11-lap winning run in 5:02.64 was a fantastic result for the young F5 competitor.

F Final – F3/F4/F5

Zack Trodden took the F Final victory after completing 11 laps in 5:11.53. Paul Steadman finished just behind in second, with Brian Preddy third.

G Final – F3/F4/F5

Toby Broughton took the G Final, completing 11 laps in 5:02.60. Jessie Russell produced a great drive to finish second, while Jonathan Szymanski completed the podium.

H Final – F3/F4/F5

Ollie Carberry rounded out the finals with victory in the H Final after completing 11 laps in 5:16.37. Louie Stephenson produced another fantastic performance to finish second, while Daniel Cousins completed the podium.

⭐ Young Drivers Making Their Mark

Once again, the young drivers were one of the real highlights of the meeting.

Riley Butler delivered the biggest result, taking the overall combined F3/F4/F5 A Final victory.

Finn Mulcahy produced a superb E Final win, while Jessie Russell took second in the G Final and Louie Stephensonfinished an excellent second in the H Final.

Louie's result was particularly notable given his age, continuing what has already been an incredible season for one of the youngest drivers in the sport. His performance here provides another reminder that the next generation of racers is already making its presence felt.

4 Wheel Drive

🏁 BRCA F2–F5 Formula Championship – Sunday 4WD 🏁

Sunday saw the focus turn to the 4WD Formula Championship, with drivers from F2, F3, F4 and F5 taking to the track for a full day of racing.

With the different Formula classes sharing the track, there was plenty of close competition throughout the field, from the experienced racers at the front of the A Finals to the younger drivers making their mark further down the finals.

There were some fantastic performances across all four classes, and the racing provided a fitting finale to the meeting.

🏆 F3 / F4 / F5 – A Final

The combined F3, F4 and F5 A Final produced a superb performance from Dewi Jones, who took overall victory after a dominant three-leg performance.

Dewi was the driver to beat throughout the final, recording three leg wins to finish with a perfect score of three points and complete 13 laps in 5:23.07.

Chris Boden put together a strong performance to finish second overall, while Lawson Townsend secured third and also took the honours among the Under 13 drivers.

Rich Savage finished fourth, with Harley Young fifth, Dominic Mawby sixth, Mark Christopher seventh, Andy Williams eighth, Phil Campbell ninth and Jack Flynn completing the top ten.

It was a particularly impressive result for Lawson, who not only secured a place on the overall podium but also showed once again the strength of the younger drivers coming through the Formula ranks.

🏁 F3 / F4 / F5 – B Final

The B Final saw Riley Butler take a well-deserved victory.

Riley completed 12 laps in 5:06.63 to take the chequered flag ahead of Chris Cooke, with Andrew Luxford completing the top three.

Greg Stevens finished fourth, followed by Mike Temple, Daniel Watt, Ross Everill, Zack Trodden, Ken Rieth and Lee Stokes.

Another excellent result for the younger generation, with Riley's Under 13 status making his B Final victory an especially pleasing achievement.

🏎️ F3 / F4 / F5 – C Final

The C Final produced another closely fought race, with Callum Moore taking the victory after completing 12 laps in 5:11.79.

Richard Thorpe finished just behind in second, with Andy Mountford taking third.

There was another strong junior performance from Jessie Russell, who finished fourth overall and took the Under 13 honours in the final.

Lee Kinsey was fifth, followed by Paul Trodden, Jamie Careless, Graeme McFarlane, Matthew Simpson and Ricky Newcombe.

🔥 F3 / F4 / F5 – D Final

The D Final belonged to Simon Pearson, who took the win after completing 11 laps in 5:11.85.

Brian Preddy finished second, with Lee Young third and Matt Martin fourth.

Chris Law finished fifth, followed by Harry Louch, Ollie Carberry, Harry Kinsey and Chris Francis.

There were again plenty of positive performances from the younger drivers, with Ollie Carberry and Harry Kinsey both completing 11 laps and gaining valuable experience against the mixed-class field.

⭐ F3 / F4 / F5 – E Final

The final F3/F4/F5 race of the meeting produced one of the standout results of the day.

Louie Stephenson took victory in the E Final, winning the F5 Under 13 class and completing 11 laps in 5:16.17.

Louie finished ahead of Paul Curtis, with Nathan Stanmore third, Paul Steadman fourth and Peter Butler fifth. Franz Brange finished sixth, while Chris Hampson completed the finishers.

A fantastic result for Louie and a brilliant way to end his Formula Championship meeting.

🏆 F2 – A Final

The F2 A Final provided a thrilling three-leg contest, with William Fisher eventually taking the overall victory.

William produced two leg wins from the three races to finish on two points and take the top step of the podium.

Tony Bishop finished second overall, with Ruben Russell taking third.

Ruben's podium was another fantastic junior achievement, with the F2 Under 16 driver showing that the younger competitors are more than capable of challenging the established names.

Steve Biscoe finished fourth, followed by Matthew Dodd, Roger Tugwood, Tristram Neal, Martin Owen, Richard Miller and Keith Halsey.

With such a closely matched field, the three-leg format certainly provided plenty of drama, with several drivers separated by only a handful of points.

🏁 F2 – B Final

The F2 B Final saw Ben Stephenson take a fantastic victory.

Ben completed 13 laps in 5:21.47 to take the win, finishing ahead of James Evans and Neil Tinsley.

Scott Whyman finished fourth, followed by Oliver Frost, Aaron Carberry, Mathew Hodges and Craig Lomax.

Harry Porter was unfortunately listed as a DNS.

For Ben, however, it was a superb result and one that would become even more special when combined with what Louie Stephenson had achieved earlier in the F3/F4/F5 finals.

❤️ Special Mention – The Stephenson Double

One of the nicest moments of the weekend came after the finals when Louie Stephenson and Ben Stephenson had their photograph taken together, both celebrating victories in their respective finals.

Louie had taken the F3/F4/F5 E Final, winning the F5 Under 13 class, while Ben had taken victory in the F2 B Final.

Two different Formula classes, two final victories and two very proud drivers standing together for the photograph.

It was a fantastic family moment and a lovely way to celebrate their achievements.

🌟 A Great Showing From the Juniors

One of the biggest positives from Sunday's Formula Championship was once again the performances from the younger drivers.

Lawson Townsend secured an overall podium in the F3/F4/F5 A Final, while Riley Butler took the B Final and Jessie Russell finished fourth in the C Final.

There were also strong performances from Jack Flynn, Harley Young, Ollie Carberry, Harry Kinsey and Louie Stephenson, with the younger drivers showing plenty of speed and racecraft throughout the meeting.

In F2, Ruben Russell's third-place finish in the A Final was another excellent result for the Under 16 category.

The future certainly looks bright, with these young drivers continuing to gain experience against some very quick and experienced competition.

🏁 THAT’S A WRAP – 2026 🏁

And just like that, the 2026 BRCA 10th Off Road season comes to a close!

What a way to finish the year. Saturday saw the 2WD Formula classes take centre stage, with a fantastic day of racing producing close battles throughout the finals and some brilliant performances across the field. From the overall A Final through to the junior categories, there was plenty to celebrate, with our Under 16 and Under 13 drivers once again showing just how much talent is coming through the ranks.

Then, on Sunday, it was all about the 4WD Formula Championship, covering F2 through to F5, and the racing certainly lived up to expectations. Across the F3, F4 and F5 finals, we saw determined drives from juniors, seniors and veterans alike, while the F2 field provided another excellent day of close and competitive racing. There were winners across every final, plenty of hard-fought battles and, most importantly, a great atmosphere to round off the year.

A particularly lovely moment came after the finals when Louie Stephenson and Ben Stephenson posed for a photo together, both celebrating victories in their respective finals. Louie took the F3/F4/F5 E Final, winning the F5 Under 13 class, while Ben claimed victory in the F2 B Final. Two different Formula classes, two final wins and one fantastic family moment — a brilliant way to finish the weekend!

🌟 Looking Back on 2026

As we close the book on 2026, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on what has been another fantastic year of BRCA 10th Off Road racing. From the opening rounds through to this final meeting, we’ve seen fierce competition, impressive driving, new faces making their mark and plenty of familiar names continuing to push themselves at the front of the field.

But, as always, the season has been about far more than results and trophies. It has been about the drivers, families, mechanics, marshals, organisers, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes who makes these meetings possible. The support around the track, the battles on it, the friendships made and the encouragement shown between competitors are what make the 10th Off Road Section so special.

A huge congratulations to every driver who has taken part during 2026. Whether you were fighting for wins, chasing personal improvements, enjoying your first meeting, or simply getting your car back on the track and having fun, you have all played a part in making the season what it was.

And to everyone who has supported the championship throughout the year — thank you. Your time, effort, enthusiasm and commitment do not go unnoticed.

So, as the cars are packed away and the final chequered flag of 2026 falls, we can look back on a season full of racing, memories, friendships and plenty of moments to be proud of.

Here’s to a well-earned winter break, a chance to recharge, and then doing it all again in 2027!
