2WD Race Report
The final round of the 2WD National Championship brought the series to a thrilling conclusion, with championship positions, category honours and one final National victory all on the line. A full day of competitive racing saw drivers battle their way through the finals, while the three-leg A Final delivered a fitting finish to the 2WD season.
With the championship now complete, there was also plenty to celebrate away from the individual meeting results, as the final series champions and category podium finishers were confirmed.
L Final
The final round got underway with the L Final, where the drivers set the tone for another competitive day of racing. As with every National round, the depth of the field was clear from the very first final, with competitors battling hard throughout the five minutes.
The lower finals once again demonstrated the strength of the championship, with drivers from across the Formula and age categories producing competitive performances and enjoying the final opportunity of the season to race at National level.
K Final
The K Final saw Russell Gardner take the victory after completing 13 laps in 5:21.03. Martin Heward finished just behind in second, with a strong drive from Riley Butler earning him third place.
Riley's performance was particularly noteworthy as the Under 13 driver completed 13 laps and finished on the podium against a highly competitive field. It was a strong way to round off his season and reflected the progress he has made throughout the championship.
J Final
The J Final was won by Joshua Anderson, who completed 13 laps in 5:14.44. Chris Boden finished second, while Michael Halsey completed the podium.
There were strong performances throughout the field, with several drivers completing 12 laps. Mark Keen, Colin McCaffery, Jamie Banks, Ross Everill and Fraser McLeod all featured in a closely contested race.
I Final
The I Final continued the close racing, with the pace increasing as the finals progressed. The battle through the midfield remained extremely competitive, with several drivers producing consistent runs over the five-minute duration.
The final also provided another opportunity for drivers in the Formula classes and veteran categories to finish their seasons on a high, with every position hard fought.
H Final
The H Final saw another competitive group take to the track, with the margins between the drivers remaining tight. The quality of the racing throughout the lower and middle finals once again demonstrated the depth of competition that has been a feature of the 2WD championship all season.
G Final
The G Final provided more close racing as the afternoon continued. The Formula drivers were once again well represented, with competitors battling not only for the final positions but also for important performances to close out their championship campaigns.
F Final
The F Final produced some particularly strong performances. Ewan Mulcahy took the victory, while Charlie Rhodes finished second and Alex Pyatt completed the top three.
Charlie's drive was another impressive performance from the Under 13 champion, finishing second in a competitive National final. It was a fitting conclusion to an excellent season for one of the championship's standout young drivers.
E Final
The E Final was won by Seth Shillito-Everiss, who completed 13 laps in 5:00.64. Colin May finished second, while Oscar Keen completed the podium.
The race was closely contested behind the winner, with Stephen Brown, Matthew Dodd, Jamie Long and Kyle Moon all completing 13 laps. Seth's victory was an excellent way to finish his meeting, while the pace throughout the final remained consistently strong.
D Final
The D Final saw William Venables take victory after completing 13 laps in 5:09.42. Andy Woods finished an incredibly close second, just fractions behind, while Freddie Thompson completed the podium.
Freddie's third-place finish was another strong Formula drive, while Tristram Neal and Hudson Knight also featured prominently in the final.
C Final
The C Final produced one of the closest finishes of the day. Tommy Dale took the victory after completing 13 laps in 5:01.64, with Chris Evison finishing just 0.35 seconds behind.
Mannie Panesar completed the podium, followed by Matt Drewett and Stuart Mahon. Rhys Trewartha finished sixth, completing 13 laps and producing another solid performance as one of the championship's leading Under 16 competitors.
B Final
The B Final saw Archie Bowman take a convincing victory, completing 14 laps in 5:16.76. Lewis Hopkins finished second, while Aaron Nash completed the podium.
Further down the field, Eugene Galley, Matthew Thompson and Ryan Clarke all produced strong performances. Their results were particularly significant given the strength of the V40 and V50 categories throughout the season.
The B Final once again highlighted just how competitive the championship has been, with drivers of all ages and experience levels battling closely throughout the field.
A Final – A Fitting Finish to the Season
The final 2WD A Final of the season brought together ten of the fastest drivers in the championship for three crucial legs of racing.
Daniel Pole produced a superb performance to take the overall victory at the final round. His scorecard of 3-1-3 gave him four points and secured the meeting win. Daniel's victory was particularly impressive, not only because of the standard of competition around him, but also because he was competing as an Under 16 driver.
Luke Holdsworth finished second overall, also on four points, following a 5-3-1 scorecard. His victory in the final leg ensured the battle for the overall win went right down to the final race.
Ben Smith completed the podium with another excellent and consistent performance. His 2-5-2 scorecard also gave him four points, underlining just how close the racing was at the front.
Josh Holdsworth finished fourth overall after winning the opening leg before recording fourth and fifth places in the remaining races. Tommy Hall finished fifth, while Jamie Hall, Lee Martin, Jonathan Skidmore, Mark Anthony Jones and Thomas Phipps completed the A Final field.
With three drivers tied on four points at the top, the final round delivered exactly the kind of close racing expected from the conclusion of a National Championship season.
2026 2WD National Champion
🏆 Ben Smith – 2026 2WD Champion
After a consistently strong campaign across the season, Ben Smith is crowned the 2026 BRCA 2WD National Champion.
Ben's ability to deliver strong results throughout the championship ensured he finished the series at the top of the standings. His third-place finish at the final round was another important performance and provided a fitting conclusion to an excellent season.

Under 16 Championship
The Under 16 category has once again been one of the highlights of the National Championship, with some exceptional young talent competing throughout the season.

Daniel Pole's final-round A Final victory was a remarkable way to seal an outstanding season. Winning the overall meeting against the country's leading 2WD drivers demonstrated both his pace and consistency.
Oliver Nattress takes second in the final Under 16 standings after another excellent championship campaign, while Rhys Trewartha completes the podium following a series of strong performances throughout the year.

Under 13 Championship
The Under 13 category has continued to showcase the future of the sport, with several young drivers producing some truly impressive results throughout the season.

🥉 3rd – Riley Butler
Charlie Rhodes takes the Under 13 championship after an excellent campaign, rounding off the final round with another strong performance in the F Final.
Jack Mills-White finishes second in the championship, while Riley Butler completes the top three. Riley's third-place finish in the K Final at the final round was a particularly positive way to conclude his season.

V40 Championship
The V40 category once again featured some incredibly experienced and competitive drivers throughout the season.
🥇 1st – Lee Martin
🥈 2nd – Matthew Thompson
🥉 3rd – Ryan Clarke
Lee Martin takes the V40 title after another excellent championship campaign. His seventh-place finish in the final-round A Final demonstrated that he remained firmly amongst the fastest drivers in the country right to the end of the season.
Matthew Thompson and Ryan Clarke complete the V40 championship podium after both producing strong performances throughout the series.

V50 Championship
The V50 category was equally competitive, with some fantastic racing throughout the season.

🥉 3rd – James Dixon
Eugene Galley takes the V50 championship after a consistently strong season. His fourth-place finish in the B Final at the final round was another excellent result and helped round off his championship-winning campaign.
Mannie Panesar finishes second in the series and completed the final round with third place in the C Final. James Dixon takes third overall in the championship, completing a strong V50 podium for the season.

A Fantastic Conclusion to the 2WD Season
The final round provided a fitting conclusion to another excellent 2WD National Championship. From the first final of the day through to the three-leg A Final, the racing was competitive throughout, with drivers across every Formula, age and veteran category producing standout performances.
At the sharp end, Daniel Pole's A Final victory was one of the defining moments of the meeting, while Ben Smith's consistency across the entire season earned him the biggest prize of all – the 2026 2WD National Championship.
There were also plenty of reasons to celebrate across the categories. The future of the sport continues to look incredibly bright, with Daniel Pole, Oliver Nattress, Rhys Trewartha, Charlie Rhodes, Jack Mills-White and Riley Butler all producing excellent performances throughout the year.
The V40 and V50 categories also continued to demonstrate the strength and depth of experience within the championship, with Lee Martin and Eugene Galley emerging as deserving series champions.
Congratulations to all of the drivers who competed throughout the 2WD season, and especially to the 2026 champions and podium finishers. With another highly competitive season now complete, attention will turn to the 4WD championship and the next chapter of National racing.
4WD Race Report
The final round of the 4WD National Championship brought the curtain down on another fantastic season of off-road racing. With the series titles still to be celebrated and one final opportunity for drivers to finish the year on a high, the meeting produced competitive racing throughout every final.
From the youngest drivers in the Under 13 category to the experienced competitors in the V40 and V50 classes, there was plenty to celebrate as the 4WD championship reached its conclusion.
L Final
The final round got underway with the L Final, where Jamie Careless took the win after completing 13 laps in 5:01.31. The battle for the top positions was extremely close, with Paul Steadman finishing just behind in second, only fractions of a second separating the pair.
Andrew Grason completed the podium in third, followed by Nathan Stanmore and Reuben Pollard.
There was also another memorable moment for Louie Stephenson, who took to the track in the L Final as one of the youngest competitors in the entire championship. At just six years old, simply competing at this level is an incredible achievement, and another important step in what could be a very exciting racing journey.
K Final
The K Final saw Ben Ellis take the victory after completing 14 laps in 5:02.24. Andrew Bulmer finished second, with Mark Christopher completing the podium.
Phil Campbell finished fourth, while David Milford and Ross Everill completed the remaining top positions.
It was another competitive final, with the V40 and V50 categories well represented throughout the field.
J Final
The J Final produced a strong victory for Charlie Hall, who completed 14 laps in 5:02.53.
Aaron Carberry finished second, with Under 13 driver Riley Butler producing an excellent drive to take third place. Riley completed the same number of laps as the front two and continued to demonstrate the pace and potential that earned him a place among the leading young drivers in the championship.
Further down the field, Simon Hudspeth, Ava Griggs and Jessie Russell all put in solid performances, with Jessie another of the talented young drivers making their mark on the National Championship.
I Final
The I Final was won by Ruben Russell, who completed 15 laps in 5:13.11.
Richard Miller finished second, with Jonathan Pluke taking third place. Steven Harley and Peter Craig completed the top five.
Under 13 competitor Jack Flynn also featured in the final, gaining further valuable experience at National level and rounding off another competitive weekend of racing.
H Final
The H Final saw Kamran Wells take the victory after completing 15 laps in 5:14.71. Alfie Castle finished second, while Michael Halsey completed the podium.
The race featured another strong performance from the younger drivers, with Under 13 racer Tommy Clark finishing ninth in a competitive field. Every National final provides valuable experience for these young competitors, and Tommy continues to build his experience against some strong opposition.
G Final
The G Final provided some close and competitive racing, with David Burton taking victory after completing 15 laps in 5:12.99.
Gareth Stanton finished a close second, with Scott Whyman completing the podium.
The race also featured strong drives from V40 and V50 competitors, including James Dixon, who finished seventh as he continued his strong season in the V50 category.
F Final
The F Final produced a particularly exciting result for the younger generation.
Charlie Rhodes took the victory after completing 15 laps in 5:09.49, an excellent performance from the Under 13 driver. Hattie Tames finished second, just behind Charlie, while fellow Under 13 racer Jack Mills-White completed the podium in third.
Seeing two Under 13 drivers on the podium in such a competitive National final was a fantastic moment and another clear indication of the exciting talent coming through the ranks.
Andy Manning finished fourth, while Evie Tames, Euan McLeod and Mannie Panesar also produced competitive runs.
E Final
The E Final was won by Charlie Simmons, who completed 15 laps in 5:09.61.
Ryan Preston finished second, with Ben Elliot completing the podium. Harry Saunders and Oliver Frost rounded out the top five.
The field remained extremely competitive throughout, with Kevin Hodkinson, Roger Tugwood and Zach Whittleston also completing 15 laps.
D Final
The D Final saw Jacob Thomlinson take the victory after completing 15 laps in 5:01.84.
David Scott finished second, while Ewan Tumilty completed the podium with another strong drive.
V40 competitor Stephen Brown finished fourth, adding another solid result to his season, while Colin May and Calum Trewartha completed the top six.
C Final
The C Final was won by Stuart Mahon, who completed 16 laps in 5:17.51.
Mark Anthony Jones finished second, with Matt Drewett completing the podium. Liam Robinson finished fourth, while V50 champion Eugene Galley finished fifth after another competitive run.
Rhys Trewartha finished eighth, continuing to represent the Under 16 category strongly at National level.
B Final
The B Final saw Matthew Thompson take a superb victory, completing 16 laps in 5:15.18.
William Skidmore finished second, with Harley Eldridge taking third place.
Aaron Nash and Hudson Knight completed the top five, while V40 competitor Ryan Clarke finished sixth. Oliver Nattress, another of the championship's leading Under 16 drivers, finished eighth in a highly competitive B Final.
A Final – A Championship-Winning Finish
The final 4WD A Final of the season brought together the fastest drivers in the country for three legs of high-level racing.
Ben Smith took the overall victory at the final round with a score of 1-1-10, securing the meeting win after two outstanding victories in the opening legs. Those two wins were enough to put Ben in control of the overall result and give him a fitting victory to close the season.
Tommy Hall finished second overall with a score of 2-2-1, producing one of the most consistent performances of the A Final. After two second-place finishes, Tommy rounded off the meeting by winning the final leg.
Luke Holdsworth completed the podium in third with a score of 4-9-2. Despite a difficult second leg, Luke bounced back strongly to take second place in the final race.
Jonathan Skidmore finished fourth overall, followed by Josh Holdsworth in fifth. Lee Martin took sixth, with Jamie Hall, Under 16 champion Daniel Pole, Thomas Phipps and Charlie Saunders completing the A Final field.
It was a fitting finale to the season, with the championship's leading drivers once again delivering some outstanding racing.

Ben Smith is crowned the 2026 BRCA 4WD National Champion.
Ben's final-round victory was the perfect way to complete an outstanding championship campaign. His pace, consistency and ability to deliver when it mattered ensured that he finished the season at the top of the standings.

Charlie Rhodes capped off a fantastic season with victory in the F Final, while Jack Mills-White finished third in the same final. Riley Butler also ended the meeting strongly with third place in the J Final.
The performances of these three young drivers throughout the season have been hugely impressive, and all have shown fantastic development and determination.

The V40 category once again featured an incredibly competitive group of experienced drivers.

Eugene Galley takes the V50 title following another excellent season of racing. His fifth-place finish in the C Final at the final round was another strong performance against some very quick opposition.

A Fantastic End to the 4WD Season
The final round of the 4WD National Championship provided a brilliant conclusion to the season. From the L Final through to the three-leg A Final, there was competitive racing throughout every part of the field.
At the front, Ben Smith rounded off a superb season with victory at the final round and the 2026 4WD National Championship. Tommy Hall and Lee Martin completed a highly deserving overall championship podium.
The younger generation once again provided some of the standout stories of the weekend. Daniel Pole, Oliver Nattress and Rhys Trewartha led the way in the Under 16 category, while Charlie Rhodes, Jack Mills-White and Riley Butlercontinued to demonstrate the incredible talent coming through in the Under 13 ranks.
And, of course, one of the most memorable moments of the entire weekend belonged to the youngest driver in the field.
⭐ A Very Special Moment – The Time Keeper Award
One of the biggest highlights of the final round was the presentation of the new Time Keeper Award.
The inaugural winner was Louie Stephenson — and what an incredibly special recipient he is.
At just six years old, Louie is believed, based on the records available, to be the youngest driver ever to compete in the 1/10th Off Road European Championship. Plus in the 2 Wheel Drive class he finished 141 position, and 157 in 4 Wheel Drive Class.
That is a remarkable achievement for such a young racer and one that deserves huge recognition.
Louie has already shown incredible enthusiasm and determination for the sport, and to be competing on such a stage at only six years of age is something truly special. His participation in the European Championship has made history, and receiving the first-ever Time Keeper Award was a fitting way to recognise that achievement.
One to watch for the future — congratulations, Louie!

What a fantastic series it has been. A learning curve for myself (Chris the Time Keeper) learning the processes, format and so on however its been great and i hope to see you all again next year.
